There's a reason that St. Louis was recently ranked as the No. 2 Food City in The US, by Yelp. There are so many amazing places to dine in The 'Lou, including many places you can be sure to find plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.

We decided to share a current list of our very favorites places in St. Louis to dine out that are healthy, delicious and unique! For this list, we focused on restaurants where the overall ambiance is welcoming for dining in or patio-side - perfect for summer!

Symbowl, various locations:

Healthy foodies will be happy to learn that they can find Symbowl locations across St. Louis in Kirkwood, Chesterfield, and St. Charles. It's fast, casual, and good for you - we can't get enough delicious Symbowl's in our lives!

Lona's Lil Eats, Fox Park:

Lona's offers a blend of Thai and Chinese cuisines with options for traditional, vegetarian, and vegan diets. Here, you can find seasonal noodle bowls and filling wraps. Tea drinkers will be happy with the selection of home brewed teas and foodies will love the detailed menu.

Ambiance is casual, with catering and online ordering available.

Vicia, Central West End:

Vicia is a trendy and award-winning restaurant relatively new to St. Louis. The vegetable-forward menu showcases seasonal ingredients, locally sourced fish and produce alongside artisan breads. The menu changes often, so it's a great place to visit again and again!

Ambiance is modern, upscale with a full bar and seasonal cocktails.

Revel Kitchen, Clayton and Brentwood:

Chances are if you've been to a SLiiM Dinner & Discussion event, you've tasted the amazing creations of Revel Kitchen. The menu is locally sourced with organic juices, bowls, wraps and more. We also love that they make ordering online easy! They feed our St. Louis Blues, so you know you're in for some seriously nutritious food at Revel!

Ambiance is casual, with whole fruit smoothies and cold-pressed juices.

Lulu's Local Eatery, Tower Grove South:

We love Lulu's. Lulu's is a casual yet trendy vegan restaurant with a chic patio and upstairs ping pong bar (how awesome is that?!). Lulu's also offers gluten-free, soy free, and nut free menu options, making it a great choice for groups with different dietary restrictions. They even have a kids menu featuring cauliflower nuggets, tacos, burgers, and more. Enjoy coffee by Sump or vegan baked goods by Whisk.

Ambiance is casual, with full bar and local craft beer.

Confluence Kombucha, The Grove:

It's hard to find a restaurant more adorable than Confluence Kombucha. The menu is plant-based, healthy, and fresh. Plus, you can take a dive into their seasonal selection of kombuchas with a tasting flight (talk about a healthy date idea!). The tasting flights are so colorful and flavorful, it's a fun experience for fans of the functional beverage. We highly recommend the Lunga Di Napoli!
